What Are 4,560 People Talking About

Check out some of the new things that are going down.

There are new things on the horizon here on the site. I took some time off because I felt like was all over the place with my message. So after some soul searching here is the finished product. I have no problem saying that one day I will be a big name in the self help industry. Right now however I am just a kid with a vision.

So you get it raw and uncut, no budget, just starting out in my home business, and no experience as a keynote speaker. You get to see the story in real time as I live it from the very beginning. My hopes are that one day this might reach someone who is scared to pursue a dream and they see my progression from now to where I will be 5 to ten years from now and say to themselves… wow that can be me.

Some of the upgrades are

-More motivational content

I will be bringing powerful material you can use in your life every day. Slide shows, videos, and fun skits will also be used to motivate and entertain you.

-Live shows and events

You will see videos and live clips from my most recent speaking engagements.

-The Wake Up Project

I have been in the network marketing/direct sales industry for ten years and never before have I seen an opportunity like this. We are helping people save money, manage money, and make money. Offering software solutions for a better life and a patented compensation plan we are really waking people up to the better lifestyle of living debt free and acquiring wealth.

-YouVersion Bible Study Series

I usually don’t recommend products or services without a commission (I guess it’s just the network marketer in me), but I highly recommend you download the YouVersion Bible app. It is the Bible for our time not only because of the easy to read interface but because it spoon feeds you the bible so that you can make it applicable to everyday life.  So to promote itI am doing a whole video series based on the reading plans from the app solely to promote it. I guess you can say I am using 10% of my network marketing talents and tithing back into the faith. So get ready for my You Version Bible App Series.

Join the conversation and spread the word and thank you for once again visiting my site.

Dreaming With Eyes Wide Open

Dream Chaser > Dream Stealer

Man Daydreaming

Some people scoff at people who work hard to be successful. Only to find out they are working just as hard to be mediocre. The only way to make a dream a reality is to chase it and the only way to live a nightmare is to let it happen. There are lessons to be learned from both, also both could result in pain. The only difference is that with chasing the dream there is a reality of true happiness. I am exploring today why some have given up on what they really want to deal with what they don’t.

We judge ourselves and put each other in boxes time and time again. Verbally we express these boxes amongst ourselves such as “I have kids” .. “I live in a small town” … or “I don’t have the education” ….and the classic one ..”oh that ain’t for me”. Meanwhile the evidence is all around us that the ones who say “forget all that i’m going to go get it “ win time and time again. The insanity of it is that we celebrate this all the time, but only after they make it!!! We say “right on man that is so awesome” but when they are in the beginning stages we say “no way, you can never do that”……… Huh????

Look we all know the truth is in the puddin but I am here to tell you that it doesn’t mean anything while you’re sitting there complaining about your spoon. If it is what you want, just pick up your spoon whether it be plastic or sterling silver and dive in. If you don’t like your results just keep diggin.

Life is about chances it about learning from failure until you reach success. Picture this …..a professional baseball player who bats over .300 in his career stands a pretty good chance to make to the hall of fame. That is just getting on base folks we are not talking about home runs, this is just getting to first base and he only does this three out of ten times. What baseball players know about baseball is exactly what we ignore in life. Is that a strikeout is imminent whether you swing or don’t swing and the only way prevent a strikeout is swing the dang bat(take a chance). Although you still will strike out more than you will get on base the rewards from your success will outweigh the results of failures.

Now to make this practical, you can’t get anywhere in life taking random chances. Good hitters in baseball know what pitches to wait for. The same goes in life, our dreams have to be in line with our talents, resources, and our life passion.

I will use myself as an example. I have talent for communicating and problem solving, I find a way to monetize my resources by doing this i can leverage and do more, and I have a deep passion for two things basketball and helping people. From that platform I dream with my eyes wide open and I live them out.

This may seem like a lot of work, but look at how much work you are putting into telling yourself what you can’t be. Difficulty in life’s challenges really just have to deal with your comfort level. No one wants to live a life that is lacking. It’s hard to enjoy life knowing that one part of it is in shambles whether it is spiritually, romantic, or financially oriented. We cope by making excuses and allow fear to create limitations. Living without a higher purpose has more rules than walking in faith, being lonely is more emotionally draining than a loving relationship, and being broke having to live paycheck to is harder than being wealthy. Nothing in life is easy it only seems easy because you conditioned yourself to be tolerant of it.

It is true that some dreams may be too big, I am crazy to think I will play on an Olympic gold medal basketball team. However the exact same can be said for our fears it is just as foolish to think that I could not be on the coaching staff of an Olympic gold medal basketball team with enough hard work and dedication. Most of the time when we chase our dreams in a calculated way in line with our talents, resources, and our life passion. we often find ourselves in a better place than where we would be if we would have never acted upon our dream. Remember we all strikeout friends. Just don’t make a mockery of those who chose to go down swinging.

Why I Often Stomp With The Big Dogs

Ways to be an effective leader!

tumblr_macrvlwsQW1qh19t7o1_1280

Leaders come in all different shapes and sizes (believe it or not this little one above in this pic is a boss!), they are always needed, and I believe being called to lead is one of the most fulfilling things in life. Now more than ever more people want lead. With the social media age it seems like everyone wants to put their two cents in and believe it or not I LOVE it! I embrace the fact that people want to share their passions even if it’s about Scandal drama ;-) Today’s leaders are leading more leaders specialist if you will. Here are my tips on leading in a world where everybody is an expert or a critic.

Tip # 1 Be a Good Follower First

Leaders learn from other leaders. Chances are any original thought you have had probably wasn’t original. It has either been done before or you picked it up from somebody else. What makes your leadership unique is you. Knowing that you should always learn from other leaders who are more proficient than you, especially in your weak spots shows you are willing to grow.

Tip # 2 Practice Your Art

Leaders should immerse themselves into their craft. Don’t try to be everything to everybody but be everything to one thing. Focus your energy and become knowledgeable in your topic of expertise. Life happens in real time and you have to be able to be on your toes. The best  leaders are great at anticipation. You can’t be prepared for everything; some things you will have to figure out on a wing and a prayer. However by knowing your art you will be better suited for any problems that may arise.

Tip # 3 You’re Human So Show It

Be ready to apologize! Just like any other person you will make a mistake. Every leader will embrace new challenges and sometimes those challenges will get the best of you. When that happens the best thing you can do is admit fault and apologize. This shows your honest, compassionate, caring, and that you’re real I repeat … you are real!!!!! It also reinforces why you are fit to lead. By admitting you have made a mistake, you’re also saying you are the first volunteer to fix the problem.

Tip # 4 Be Happy Being The Lab Rat

A very awesome rule for all leaders to follow is to preach what you  practice instead of practicing what you preach. Don’t lead by talking lead by doing. This goes back to the whole realness thing. You can’t just talk about things you have read or how somebody else did it. Remember what makes your leadership unique is you. Leading means being in front and giving guidance not standing in the back and giving criticism or direction.

The greatest mark in a leader is how many leaders he has created. Fellow leaders I hope you find these tidbits helpful and as always I wish you all the success.

I May Just Be The Worst Basketball Coach In America!

Its More About The Process Than The Result.

I have the best field testing in the world and it’s through athletics. Being a coach you learn so much and it is one of the reasons why I am not only successful as a business man but as a person. Last year I experienced losing on a scale I have never felt before as a player or a coach. I would often view last year as a unsuccessful season as a first year head coach, but what I found was a lesson that I can pass on to you guys and take with me for years to come.

I have always been a winner and I now believe men who win all the time are spoiled. We become consumed with it  often lose sight in pursuit of it, but what I found out is that winning is like money it is a byproduct of compound success processes. As reflected upon last year what I saw was the growth of a team. What was once divided came together, what was once weak became strong and where there was a tradition of apathy now is a tradition of pride. It makes me teary eyed to think about it at times. I have lost sight of what was more important than a W. At all times winning or losing I am supposed to be teaching and guiding. How I teach is through the lessons thought by the game. When we have done enough to produce wins that byproduct will soon show, winning is hard to come by and it takes times to experience that result on a great level. So in the meantime I teach the game and in time with my own self development my time will come.

Great programs are often times associated with wins or championships. That is whats talked about, whats celebrated, and whats expected.  The practice of this thinking  is missing the point, not just in athletics but in anyone’s personal quest. When are we going to realize that its not about the destination but the journey. It’s in the process where the lessons are thought, the traditions are built, the team comes together and the individual is made.

One question that I have been asking myself is then what? That’s an important question to ask, just think about it after I lose five pounds then what, after I win the game then what, after I make a million then what. That question will be tough to answer if your processes are not right. Even worse you may struggle with happiness in your end result, and that is exactly what it will be just an END result. Instead you should aim for byproducts and think to yourself not then what but what cool stuff did I get from this experience!

Maybe this year will be different  then again maybe it wont. Who knows if I have made the necessary growth to accomplish my desired results. All I know is that if I am focused on continually learning and accepting my new challenges with enthusiasm and hard work I will get to where I need to be. Because the paths I take will be what molds me ;-) and I will get the desired byproducts.

Why We Pay Some Men Millions Of Dollars To Throw A Round Ball Through An Iron Hoop

How Bad Do You Want It?

How bad do you want it? Wow what a simple yet powerful question, but so many people can’t really answer it? The video has to do mostly with basketball but look at all what happens before these guys hit the court.  Are you willing to work as hard as these guys in your concentration? Are you seeing how your competition is working are you willing to out work them? Do you want success as bad as you want to breathe? These men measure themselves in a game where you throw a round ball in a hoop but these guys throw that round ball in a hoop better than anyone and that is what makes them valuable! How do measure yourself? How high do you want that measure to be and how bad do you want it!
